Why train with us? |
Stroud Judo Club has a dedicated group, which train seven times a week with training sessions consisting of judo randori, judo technical/tactical and now judo specific strength and conditioning. Richard trains players to focus on their own personal performance rather than focusing on the medal or the grade. He also trains them to enjoy the sport regardless of the outcome in a competition. Richard believes that whilst medals, grades, and British flags make us feel good, all this will come naturally if you have the desire and you focus on your own personal performance. Focusing on the "trophy/prize" naturally makes you feel disappointed when its not achieved, which will oftem make the individual up-set and have feelings of worthlessness. When the medal is achieved it has a tendency to make the individual arrogant which is the wrong mind set if you want the best out of yourself. |
